Continuing with the 30-Day Book Challenge, today’s prompt is to write about a book that disappointed me. The first book that comes to mind is the last book I read: Every Day by David Levithan. I was really looking forward to reading this book because the concept was so original, but it did not live up to my expectations. I discussed my issues with the book in my review of it, but here are a couple quick reasons why it disappointed me:
The cover of Every Day has caught my eye every time I go to the bookstore, and I finally found the time to give it a read. The only other book by David Levithan I had read was Will Grayson, Will Grayson (a collaboration with John Green), which I loved. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about this book. The premise of the story is very original, but it failed to live up to my expectations.
